电影曾译名《护垫侠》，根据印度草根企业家Muruganantham真实事迹改编因为卫生巾关税高昂，在2012年印度仍有80%以上的女性在生理期无法使用卫生用品，初中文化程度的主人公拉克希米为了妻子的健康，寻找低成本的卫生巾的生产方法，却被全村人视为变态、疯子；最后他远走大城市德里，遇到了生命中最重要的美女合伙人帕里，最终发明了低成本卫生巾生产机器，并开放专利，为印度全国对于女性经期卫生观念带来变革，2018年7月印度取消卫生巾进口关税。“权势之人、强壮之人不会让国家变强，女性强大、母亲强大、姐妹们强大后，国家才会强盛。”
冰室雪菜（玉城蒂娜 饰）因为其冷若冰霜的样貌而被班上的同学所孤立，一直过着独来独往的校园生活。实际上，雪菜还有着另外一重身份——在女高中生当中非常受欢迎的手机小说作家优P奈。除了雪菜的表弟霜月晶（佐藤宽太 饰），没有第三者知道这个秘密。 雪菜的小说虽然人气很高，但却也有很多读者诟病其中的恋爱情节太少，雪菜不写恋爱情节，只因为她完全没有这方面的体验。一次偶然中，雪菜震惊的发现，班上的优等生北见时雨（小关裕太 饰）竟然有着不为人知的黑暗一面，以此作为要挟，雪菜决定利用时雨来增加自己的恋爱经历，以便写出更优秀的作品。
