电视剧版《叶问》预计2013年登陆各大卫视，在2013年电视荧屏再造武林神话，掀起新一股中华武术的热潮。与《霍元甲》《精武陈真》《少年黄飞鸿》等武术宗师题材的电视剧相比，电视剧版《叶问》将不再仅仅关注一代宗师叶问自身，而是要通过叶问传奇的一生来折射那个动荡年代的整个武林人的命运。总编剧张炭表示，“我们说的不光是一个关于叶问的故事，更是一个关于中国武林的故事。我们应该记住那些与叶问一样生活在那个年代，并且深深相信武术强民强国的武林人士。”
